OFFICE OF THE ODIKRO
a companion of the black star!

He who pays the piper calls the tune. When the cameraman of Rawlings was severely beaten in a hotel lobby in Kumasi, Akufo-Addo was there in the lobby; he merely looked on as if it was something very normal.

His body guards would beat the body guards of Prof. Mills, not once, but twice. The first was during the 2008 Fetu Afahye at Cape Coast. The second was at the Odwira Festival, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi. There is no doubt that these beatings were being done to please their boss and paymaster.

The only occasion Akufo-Addo was forced to come out to condemn his body guards' wanton beatings of political opponents was when they attacked and beat up some individuals suspected to be supporters of Alan Cash at the NPP Headquarters in Accra.

Sometime last year, Mr. Asamoah Boateng would run for dear life, after he tried to approach the Akufo-Addo VICTORY 2012 Office in Accra. He was chased away by the hangers-on. His crime? The only explanation given was in the shouts they made: "Agenda 2016"!

"Agenda 2016" is a code name for the Alan Kyeremanteng camp. The Akufo-Addo camp believed the "agenda 2016" did not wish them well. And that they wanted Akufo-Addo to lose the 2012 elections so that Alan Cash could take over the Presidential candidacy of the NPP for the 2016 elections.

It was even believed that the "Agenda 2016" was working tirelessly to scupper Akufo-Addo's chances in 2012, to make the way for Alan Cash in 2016. Hence the hostility. Yet, what we saw was exactly the opposite. Ashanti Region, Alan Cash's strongest base had the highest votes for Akufo-Addo, as Mr. Kyeremanteng, J. A. Kufuor and all campaigned tirelessly for Akufo-Addo.

Aren't Ghanaians simply tired of this type of politics? Akufo-Addo must not confuse running for office with the work of a warlord! He is getting nowhere with this "all die be die" attitude! you cannot surround yourself with thugs without being a thug yourself!

Sincerely,
Pur'gu Saarpe! Esq.
Secretary to the Odikro.
