AKUFO-ADDO IS LOSING THE ASHANTI REGION!

Subject: THAT IS WHY AKUFO-ADDO IS LOSING THE ASHANTI REGION!

Dear Mr. Aponkye,

I have been instructed by His Majesty, the Odikro, to extend to you his fraternal greetings!

In the Feature Article of Thursday, 11 February 2010, by Okoampa-Ahoofe, with the tittle: "NPP Needs Functional Structures and Statesmen ...", he writes:

"the fact that the timing of his premiership had far more to do with the widely perceived success of the suggested candidate than either his own proven managerial skills or his perceived ability to readily reach out to his internal political opponents..."

This is the first acknowledgement that even though they are doing everything to make it look once again that Akufo-Addo is going to have a "One-touch" victory, the facts on the ground tell a different story!

I think Alan Cash, Kufuor, and the other big wigs in the NPP that led the party into victory are very right in focusing on the "Agenda 2016" that is being vehemently opposed by the Akufo-Addo "Victory 2012" Camp.

All they have to do is to sabotage Akufo-Addo in the Ashanti Region and Akufo-Addo would be flat on the floor! The "Agenda 2016" is aware that a victory for Akufo-Addo means the end of Alan Kyeremanteng's ambitions, because he would be going for a second term of office in 2016. If Alan has to wait for 2020 he would be too old! This is why it has become very important for the "Agenda 2016" to sabotage his campaign in the Ashanti Region. They are busy at it, but they do not want this to be obvious as this might have repercussions in their 2016 campaign. They are being very discreet about this. What has even made matters worse is the clear determination of the "Victory 2012" team not to have anything to do with the "Agenda 2016" faction of the NPP.

It is rather Akufo-Addo who must count himself out of any hope of ever becoming a president of Ghana. He has the odds weighed heavily against him, and his personal arrogance and drug addiction do not help one bit!

I avail myself of this opportunity, to extend to you, on behalf of the Odikro, Nana Akyea Mensah II, the assurances of our highest consideration.

Sincerely,

Pur'gu Saarpe!
Secretary to the Odikro, Nana Akyea Mensah II,
