Subject: "MR. AKUFO-ADDO IS NOT PRINCIPLED!"

Dear Sir,

I have been instructed by His Majesty, the Odikro, your grandfather, to extend to you his paternal greetings!

Your article shall be forwarded to the Odikro for his amusement, later on in the day, and we shall promptly apprise you of what his majesty makes of your infantile and incoherent twaddle.

Are you and Ochere-Darko trying to suggest that stealing state lands is a moral option and not a legal obligation for the leadership of the NPP? If we understood you well, even though party politics is a team work, here we are with a "state-property stealing party" in which everybody steals AROUND THIS PARTICULAR INDIVIDUAL WHO REFUSES TO CRITICISE HIS COLLEAGUES OR QUIT SUCH A GROUP AS A MATTER OF PRINCIPLE? On the contrary he wants us to applaud him for simply refusing such offers but saying nothing to his colleagues?

BEFORE YOUR SPIN DISTORTS THE STORY

It would be recalled that in the early part of September this year, a three-member Technical Committee set up to probe into the Re-development of Government Residential Properties in Accra during the previous administration, presented its final report to the National Security Coordinator. According to the report, the due processes under which state properties were sold to individuals and government officials were not followed and described it as illegal.

The three-member committee, comprising Mr. Richard Dornu Nartey, Dr. Lennox Kwame Agbosu and Mr. John Opoku, tasked the government to terminate the processing of the documents to the individuals and former government officials who bought the properties.

According to the committee, Cabinet should review the lease agreement of each of the sixty-seven allottees, to incorporate cabinet decision that frowns on the transfer of interest in grants made by the government to third parties.

The committee further recommended the immediate termination of the demolition of government bungalows, and the development of all the affected allocations, under what they called phase 2 of the Redevelopment Scheme, protocol, and in-filling allocations.

In addition, the committee called for the immediate withdrawal and termination of the processing of all leases, transfers, conveyances and instruments executed by the Lands Commission in favour of persons allocated the lands.

The argument is that these lands were wrongly acquired by people using their position and it was exclusively distributed to party faithfuls.

Even as late as December 2008 just a few days before an important national election, Mr. Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey was not only busy stealing land, he was also taking the government bungalow built for Minsters of the State as his personal property!

What team is Akufo-Addo proposing, if he is even clean? Jake was Akufo-Addo's choice to lead the NPP. Does he not share the moral irresponsibility of these men by endorsing them into prominent leadership positions?

I avail myself of this opportunity, to extend to you, on behalf of the Odikro, Nana Akyea Mensah II, the assurances of our highest consideration.

Sincerely,

Pur'gu Saarpe!
Secretary to the Odikro, Nana Akyea Mensah II,
