Comment: AFTER ADVOCATING THE ANTI-MUSLIM STATE?

COMMENT ON
Feature Article of Tuesday, 2 February 2010

Columnist: Okoampa-Ahoofe, Kwame
Don’t Cheapen Christianity, Mr. President!

Hi my dearest grandson, Kwame Okoampa,

Good day!

This particular article simply reminds me of another one by the same author with a title: "When Critics Expose Their Own Insecurities and Cancers of Envy" Thursday, July 03, 2008. This is because Okoampa is very green here with envy. After characterizing the NPP as an "Akan Christian Party" (google: "Mr. Akilu Salisu Should Argue Sensibly" by Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe, Jr., Ph.D. Feature Article | Sat, 19 Jul 2008), he cannot simply stand the good relations that exist between the government of the NDC and the Ghanaian Christian community!

It is quite strange that a member of the Coverning Board of the Danquah Institute, an Accra-based ways and means committee of the Akyem mafia behind the Akufo Addo campaign to become president, all of whom belong to the NPP, would be lecturing the NDC on "the time-honored constitutional tenet, or principle, of the Separation of Church and State."

The NPP has signed a pact with the Devil. The devil in question is the International Democrats Union, IDU, which describes itself among others, as "conservative Christian democrats" whaterver that means! A closer examination reveals a secret agenda to stem the influence of Islam and other religions worldwide. There are a lot of complaints coming from places where the IDU have become very strong, such as Sri Lanka, where the Buddist majority have had a lot to complain about!

In Ghana, the NPP pretends to be with Muslims and not against them. This is aimed at getting as many Muslim votes as they can whilst working with their international Christian partners in the IDU to undermine Muslim interests everywhere!

Separating the state and religion does not mean a political party can make itself available for possible financial gains just to attack Muslims! The silliest of such attacks was the recent call by Okoampa, following the "the arrest of 23-year-old Mr. Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab on Christmas day, for allegedly attempting to blow up a Northwest Airlines flight originating from Amsterdam and destined for Detroit, Michigan,"

Whilst the Americans were taking steps not to create the misleading impression that the war on terror was necessarily directed at ALL Muslims, Okoampa was busy opportunistically using this unfortunate event to not only paint all Muslims as evil, but actively calling for their harassments! He even went as far as to include Ghanaian Muslims to be placed on the watch of the "counter-terrorism security and intelligence agents, and experts," to begin ferreting Ghanaian Muslims!

Here are his own words:

"Still, the Nigerian accusation regarding the criminal suspect's having purchased his “criminal-agenda ticket” from an Accra-located KLM office, as well as having allegedly boarded a Virgin Nigeria flight from Accra, Ghana, to Lagos, Nigeria, appears to presuppose that, somehow, it was during his temporally unspecified stay in Ghana that Mr. Abdulmutallab was granted the curious opportunity of either concocting or purchasing the lethal materials with which the suspect attempted to blow up Northwest Airlines' Flight 253. (Keep also in mind the fact that for months ahead, the suspect's own father had allegedly notified the United States Embassy in Nigeria about the possibility of 23-year-old Mr. Abdulmutallab indulging in anti-American acts of terror. Also, couple the alleged denial of visa extension to the suspect by Britain, and the major quarters of ultimate responsibility becomes unmistakably clear).

If, indeed, the foregoing observations have validity, then the criminal suspect's “Ghanaian Connection” may be aptly envisaged from two plausible angles. First, Mr. Abdulmutallab must, somehow, have at least one Ghanaian-resident accomplice/operative who facilitated the suspect's ability to readily obtain and assemble the materials with which he allegedly attempted to blow up the 278-passengered Flight 253. And two, if the foregoing observation has validity, and there are tens of thousands of Nigerian-Muslim residents in Ghana, then it stands to reason for counter-terrorism security and intelligence agents, and experts, to begin ferreting for the suspect's possible/potential criminal accomplice(s) from within the Nigerian Muslim community in Ghana. Or could it be that Mr. Abdulmutallab's possible/potential Ghanaian accomplice(s) is/are simply a Muslim(s)?" (Google: "Nigeria Must Face Up To Its Criminal Reputation!!!" by Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe, Jr., Ph.D., Sun, 03 Jan 2010, Feature Article

Okoampa said nothing when the IDU's anti-Muslim candidate, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo was going in and out of Mosques in the 2008 electoral campaign. But when he saw the NDC getting closer to Muslims he quickly raises an alarm which at the same time showed his contempt for Ghanaian Muslims!

"NDC Shamelessly Panders to Ghanaian Muslims" cried the banner of an article issued by Okoampa on Sunday, September 21, 2008! Those of us who know the dictionary meaning of "pander to" and its connotations were shocked!

During the twenty years that the tandem governments of the socalled Provisional National Defense Council PNDC and the National Democratic Congress NDC held political sway over Ghanaians the Rawlings Corporation or R C Unlimited showed no remarkable appreciation for the integration of Ghanaian Muslims into the topmost ranks of the party."

The NPP Must Prepare for War!

Among the interesting and revelatory issues that emerged out of Mr Rawlings and his socalled National Democratic Congress celebration of their June assassination of Mr Rawlings predecessors was a crude public statement regarding the intention of the NDC to plunge Ghana into a sanguinary state of civil "

So much for the separation of the state from the church by Okoampa!!!

Cheers and Danduuuruwa at the same time!

Why Detroit Bomber, Abdulmutallab was read his 'Miranda rights'

On Wednesday in Washington DC at one of several Congressional hearings on the failed terror attempt, Senator Patrick Leahy warned against the temptation of reflexive actions that were ineffective by the US government.

He stressed that adding names of some countries like Nigeria to the watch list might even alienate allies of the US in the global war on terror.

Leahy, a Democrat senator and the chairman of the US Senate Judiciary Committee, spoke as he presided over the committee's hearing on the matter at the Capitol Hill.

Other committees of the Senate that held similar hearings on the terror attempt and its implications were the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee and the Senate Homeland Security Committee.

According to Leahy, the response of the Obama administration to add the names of countries like Nigeria to the enhanced screening lists on airports when heading to the US does not prevent terrorists from coming into the US.

"Our response to this incident must be swift, but also thoughtful. I am concerned that simply adding a handful of countries to heightened security lists does not prevent terrorists from coming into this country and may alienate those we need as allies."

Leahy, a very prominent and veteran of the US Senate, added, just like many US-based Nigerian professionals had argued in the past several weeks, that "after all,

Richard Reid was a British national and did not fit a general profile until he became known as the attempted shoe bomber."

Senator Leahy noted that "no single individual has caused more deaths by terrorist action in the United States than Timothy McVeigh, and he fit no ethnic or religious profile."

While he acknowledged that "it may be tempting to take reflexive actions, but to do so will only result in the unnecessary denial of visas to legitimate travellers and the flooding of our watch lists such that they become ineffective tools in identifying those who would do us harm."

He warned the US government that such action "will not solve these issues, they will only isolate us further from the allies we need."

"A 'one size fits all' mentality will only ensure that we will miss different threats in the future."

Quoting President Obama, the senior US Senator stated that "as the President properly noted, we cannot 'hunker down and hide behind walls of fear and mistrust.'

"We should not let our response to this incident provide another recruiting tool for terrorists. We have to be smarter than that."

Leahy's committee held the Senate hearing under the theme, 'Securing America's Safety: Improving the Effectiveness of Anti-Terrorism Tools and Inter-Agency Communication, at the Dirksen Senate Office Building, Room 226 on Wednesday morning with witnesses who also spoke and took questions from the Senators on the Judiciary Committee.

  1. Just saw the following definition of the IDU today after one of their numerous conferences:

"The IDU is an association of over 80 conservative, Christian democrat and like-minded political parties of the center and center-right."
